3.5. Connect Printers

1. Flip the power switch to OFF.

2. If using a serial printer, connect its serial cable to the PSU's SERIAL PRINTER port. Be sure the baud rate and parity are compatible between the PSU and printer.

3. If using a parallel printer, connect its parallel cable (same as PC to Printer) to the PARALLEL PRINTER port on the PSU.

4. Flip the power switch back ON.

5. Apply power to your printer and place it online. If you are using two printers, they must both be online before the RDY indicator lights. The RDY indicator on the PSU should stop blinking and remain lit. When the printer is placed offline, the RDY indicator blinks.

If you only connected a parallel printer, be sure the SetUp switch is set for PARALLEL ONLY, or, the RDY indicator will continue blinking when you try to place the printer online.

6. To test the output connection(s): Press and hold in PAUSE and tap CLEAR. This sends the default SetUp Switch settings to the printer.
