3. Installation


This section describes the procedures for configuring the Setup Switches, and connecting the ILB to your PBX system and PC. Briefly, the installation procedure consists of the following steps:

1                     Connect your PBX system's SMDR Port to the ILB's PBX Port.

2                     Connect your PC, polling device, or external modem to the ILB's Computer Port.

3                     Set the Speed Select Switches for the desired baud rates and other operating parameters as described in Section 3.3.

4                     Connect the power cable and power up the ILB. Perform the Memory Test as described in Section 4.2 to test and clear the ILB's battery backed memory.
