4.6. Output Test Function


The Output Test Function is used to check for proper connection between the ILB and polling device. When the Output Test is initiated, the ILB will release a single test string. Note that this test can be performed even when ILB memory is empty.

To initiate the Output Test Function, type ^T ([Ctrl] + [T]) and then press [Enter]. Note that the DTR line must be active, and XON/XOFF characters can be used for flow control while the Output Test String is being sent.
