Operation

1                     Use the CRB-256M's ^B05,Z command to release stored data to your PC or polling device. For more information on the ^B05,Z command, please refer to the CRB-256M User's Guide.

2                     Invoke the DECOMP command using the following format:

DECOMP <in_file> <out_file> [option] [Enter]

Where:

<in_file> Is the name of a compressed file that has been downloaded from the CRB-256M using ZModem protocol.

<out_file> Is the name of the file that will contain the decompressed data and header information.

[option] Is an optional command argument (+b), which causes DECOMP to separate records into blocks. When selected, each block will be preceded with a block number. If the "+b" option is not included, records will not be separated into blocks.

Pa DECOMP File Decompression Software

Examples:

To decompress the file "11100001.CRB" and store the decompressed data in a file named "DATA001.TXT", without separating records into blocks, DECOMP would be invoked as follows:

DECOMP 11100001.CRB DATA001.TXT [Enter]

To decompress the file "22200005.CRB" and store the decompressed data in a file named "DATA002.TXT", and separate records into blocks, DECOMP would be invoked as follows:

DECOMP 22200005.CRB DATA002.TXT +b [Enter]

Note:

When the "+b" option is not used, decompressed data will look exactly as it was recorded by the CRB256M, with the exception of the header information.
